Amon Banda is the Chief Admin Officer for SLCS. He was originally a teacher with the Ministry of Education and then worked for Luangwa Intergrated Rural Development Programme and the Community Based Natural Resources Programme.
Richard Zulu is the SLCS Unit Leader. He worked for the National Parks and Wildlife Services from 1982 until he joined SLCS. He has attended two wildlife training courses as well as a course in intelligence-led investigations. Richard is a very experienced and fully qualified leader.
Mathews Mbewe is a Senior SLCS Patrol Leader. He is from the Jumbe district of Luangwa and has 4 children. He previously worked in the open cast mines in the Copperbelt and later as a carpenter.
Godrick Mbao is a Senior SLCS scout. He is from Lundazi and worked for Save the Rhino Trust as a scout assistant for 10 years before joining SLCS. He is one of our longest standing members.
Katherine Kakumbi is a SLCS scout. She has 2 children and worked for the Community Resource Board Forestry Dept. before joining SLCS in 2000. Katherine is consedered one of the stringest scouts amongst her male colleagues.
Pamela Zulu is a new member of SLCS scout team - joining in 2004. She is from Kakumbi and worked in the catering field before joining SLCS.

Meet Some of the SLCS Team
Fred Sakala comes from Msoro Chiefdom and previously worked for the government health department as a driver. Fred now drives for SLCS and is also training as a mechanic.
Florence Ngandu is a fully qualified anti-poaching scout and also runs the stores and is in charge of the inventory. Florence has just had her second baby and is currently on maternity leave.
Kenneth Chulu - Deputy unit leader. Works very close with SLCS under the Kakumbi Community Resource Board. SLCS is training Kenneth as a scout.
Moffat Phiri is also an SLCS driver and is also a fully qualified scout. Moffat is also a skilled darting assistant. Moffat is currently undergoing training in vehicle mechanics.
Jaston Nyama is a long term member of SLCS and was one of our first scouts. Jaston was also one of the first to complete training to become a qualified scout.
Esco Nguni used to be a poacher for several years but is now reformed and forms part of the SLCS scout team. Esco went through the complete training program as is now a fully qualified scout.
Wilson Zimba is also a reformed poacher and now forms part of the SLCS scout team. Wilson is a fully qualified scout and has also undergone training in intelligence-led investigations by our partner WSPA International.
Eric Nkoma is one of our senior scouts and is extremely well disciplined in the field. Eric is a fully trained, qualified scout and has also undergone training in intelligence-led investigations by our partner WSPA International..
Simon Nkoma, from Nsefu, is the brother of well known local game guide Patrick Njovu. Simon is fully trained and qualified scout
Billy Banda is the SLCS chilli fence coordinator teaching the local community how to construct chilli fences and to grow chilli. Billy will also be partnering up with the Awely organisation regarding human/animal conflict.
Olick Mwansa is a fully trained and qualified scount. Olick is the brother of Godfrey Mwansa.
Godfrey is one of the original members of SLCS. Godfrey is a fully qualified scout and has also undergone training in intelligence-led investigations by our partner WSPA International. Godfrey often performs investigations within the local community.
Rachel McRobb is CEO of the Society and is responsible for overseeing all the activities.
Born and raised in Zambia, she has always had a passion for conserving wildlife and has been living in Luangwa for ten years.
