A 5 day patrol with six scouts costs US$110.
A 10 day patrol with six scouts costs US$195.
This includes rations, fuel and wages.
Sponsor a Game Drive or Walk for School Children
Surprisingly the majority of the local children never get into the park to see the wildlife. US$50 will cover the fuel costs to take 15 school children into the park, and let them see for themselves the wildlife we are trying to protect.
Become a Member
For as little as US$5 a month you will be helping to save Zambia's wildlife and improving the livelihoods of the local people. Money raised from yourmembership and also from donations will do directly towards SLCS projects. As a member you will receive regular updates on the Society's progress.
Individual Membership - U$5 per month ($60 per year)
Family membership - $150 per year
Corporate membership - U$1000 per year
Introduce a Friend - SLCS needs to spread the word and you can easily help us do this by introducing a friend and encouraging them to become a member.
Donate old Equipment
There is a great need for any old equipment that you may be replacing in the near future. Items such as binoculars, torches, batteries, medicines, etc are always needed and put to good use and visitors to the park can leave them at the base at any time during their stay.
Sponsor a Tree planting Program
U$80 will pay for 100 tree seedlings and an incentive for people to plant them.
Donate Towards Capture Drugs
The drugs we need to dart large mammals such as elephants and giraffe to remove snares are extremely expensive, for example the cost of darting an elephant is US$500.
